Day 1    Home – Tashkent   

Departure from Home  with flight.

 Day 2 Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva (flight+30km)

Arrive in Tashkent. Meeting with the group guide. Transfer to the hotel. Breakfast. Visit the Chorsu Bazaar where a variety of local agricultural and craft products are on sale. Then visit the modern city: Piazza Amir Temur, Independence Square (Mustaqillik Maydoni) and the Palace of friendship between peoples, behind which emerges the blue dome of the Oliy Majlis (parliament). Stop in the 19th century Abul Kasim madrassa, now a handicraft shop. Afternoon visit of the old city: the Abu Bakr mausoleum Kaffal Shoshi, the Khazrat Imam architectural complex of the Barak Khan Madrassa, the Telyashayakh Mosque with the immense Koran of Osamak, the oldest in the world in 655. Visit of the Kukeldash Madrassa, of the Juma Mosque, the nearby Khast Imom square and the Yunus Khan mausoleums. Transfer to the airport to take the flight HY 57K TASUGC SS1 1840 2020 Tashkent – Urgench. Arrival in Urgench. Transfer to Khiva. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Khiva (excursion)

Breakfast. Visit Madrasa Mohammed Amin Khan, Kalta Minor, Kukhna Ark Fortress. (with the Zidon, the Khan prison, the summer mosque, the archaeological museum, the bastion Oq Shihbobo, the tower of 24 m, the winter Mosque the Madrasa of Mohammed Rahkim Khan, the seat of the Silk Carpet, the Mausoleum Pahlavon Mohammed, the Mausoleum of Sayid Alauddin, the Madrasa / Mosque of Sherghozi Khan, the Madrasa Islom, the Mausoleum of Uch Avlya, the Juma Mosque, the Madrasa of Dost Alyam, the Tosh-Khovli Palace and the Madrasa of Kutlimurodimok, the Madrasa of Alloquli Khan the typical bazaar and the Alloqulihon caravanserai, the Ab Mosque, the Baths of Anusha Khan, and the adjoining slave market.

 Day 4 Khiva – Ayaz Kala – Khiva (100 km+ excursion+100km)

Breakfast. Transfer to Ellik Kala. Toprak Kala Castle is 75 km north-east from Khiva. The castle was built during the Ephthalites period (3rd-4th century AD). From the castle of Toprak Kala, you can also see excavations of castle Ayaz Kala, villages, which built in the VI-VII century BC. Return to Khiva. Hotel accommodation. Dinner in a local restaurant and hotel accommodation.

Day 5 Khiva – Bukhara (480 km)

Breakfast. Early morning breakfast and departure for Bukhara. A long journey through the desert furrowed by the rivers Amu-Darya & Syr-Darya those diverted at the time of the USSR to irrigate the cotton fields and that have caused the desertification of the Aral lake. Dinner in a typical house. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6 Bukhara (excursion)

Breakfast. Days dedicated to the visit of Bukhara. We will visit the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, the remains of the ancient walls, the Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, the Bolo-Hauz Mosque, the Ark ll fortress in Zindon, the prison, the Registan square “sandy place”, the Kalon Minaret the Mosque of Kalon, the Madrasa of Mir-i-Arab the old Madrasa of Amir Khan, the bazaar Taqi-Zarganon, the Madrasa of Abul Aziz Khan; the Madrasa of Ulugbek, the market Tim Abdullah Khan, the Taqi-Telpak Furushon, a short tour in the Jewish ghetto the Lyabi Hauz Square, the Maghoki Attar Mosque, the Taqi-Sarrafon the Nadir Divanbegi Mosque, Nadir Divanbegi’s Madrasa; the Khanaka (hostel), Char Minar, (in Tajik “four minarets”). Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7 Bukhara (70 km + excursion)

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to the city’s capital. Near Bukhara is the memorial complex of the protector of Bukhara, the sheikh Bakha ad-Din Nakshband. (XVI cent.) – Nakshbnad (1318-1389), founder of tarikat “nakshbandiya”. Religious complex, the place is sacred for Muslims. Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa (until the 19th century – beginning of the 20th century) – “where the moon meets the stars”. The new Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa complex was built during the reign of Alim Khan. Located 6 km, north of Bukhara. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8 Bukhara – Yangigazgan (240 km + excursion + yurt)

Breakfast. In the morning departure from Bukhara and departure for the yurt camp located in the Kyzylkum desert (230 km). On the way stop at the workshop of the Gijduvan ceramics masters – Gijduvan Ceramics Museum. Stop in the city of Nurata to visit a local mosque with a holy water source. The small town of Nurata is located at the foot of the Nuratau Mountains, which stretches for hundreds of kilometers from Jizzakh and Barren Steppe to Navoi and the Kyzylkum desert. In the afternoon continue towards the field with the yurt in the Kyzylkum desert. Stop at the Nurata pass to see the petroglyphs. Arrival in Safari Yurt Camp, accommodation in yurt.

Day 9 Yangigazgan – Asraf (103 km + village)

Breakfast. In the morning visit to the lake in the desert Aydarkul. Free time on the lake. Departure for the village Asraf. The village of Asraf is located in one of the lush mountain valleys of the Nuratau mountain range. Arrival in the Guest House Yakhshigul. The house is built from local rocks and has four clean rooms furnished with Tapchan mattresses. Visit to the village-old stone houses, ancient Khonako where caravan workers lived. In the shade of the large fruit trees in the garden, guests can choose to relax on one of the three supas (sitting places built in clay) or on a tapchan. Dinner and night in the Yakhshigul house.

Day 10 Asraf  – Samarkand (240 km + free time)

Breakfast. After breakfast we say goodbye to the family and we leave for Samarkand. Transfer to Samarkand. Arrival and free time. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Samarkand (excursion)

Breakfast then a day dedicated to the excursion to the city. The first testimony of the city Samarcanda dates 2,750 years. Visit of the Gur-Emir mausoleum (XV century) – which means “the tomb of the emir” is placed where Tamerlane and his followers are buried. The mausoleum was built by order of the Tamerlane for his nephew Mukhammad Sultan, who died in 1403. The Bibi-Khanim mosque (15th century) – with its gigantic architecture built also by order of Tamerlane after his campaign in India, to show the his power, to do so he deported thousands of Indian artisans to Samarkand. Timur-lan (literally Timur the lame called by us Tamerlano) wanted to build the great mosque on Friday with a style that had to make it look like paradise. The Registan square which is the symbol of Samarkand (XV-XVII century). The Ulugbek Observatory (1428-1429) was built by the governor and scientist Ulugbek. In the afternoon visit of the Shakhi-Zinda complex (XIV-XV century), composed of some mausoleums. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12 Samarkand – Tashkent (excursion + 290 km)

Breakfast. ‘Check out’ from the hotel. Excursion to the Afrosiyob Museum. It was an ancient site of northern Samarkand, which was occupied from 500 BC to 1220 AD. Today it is a hillside mound located near the Bibi Khanaum Mosque. The Tomb of Daniel is the traditional burial place of the biblical prophet Daniel. Transfer to Tashkent. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 Tashkent – Kokand – Rishtan (300 km + excursion + the ceramist’s house)

Breakfast. Departure for Fergana valley. The steep road that connects the Fergana Valley with the rest of Uzbekistan crosses the picturesque mountain pass Kamchik (2267 m above sea level). The first stop will be in the city of Kokand, where you will visit: the Khudoyar-Khan palace (1871), the beautiful Jami mosque and the Dahmai Shokhon mausoleum. Then continue to Rishtan. Arrival at the family home of the ceramists. Masters of Rishtan ceramics, for many years have led the production of products to the work of art, preserving and multiplying the traditions of the people. At the entrance of the house there is a huge art gallery of finished products, like in a hall, which is very impressive. Master Said Ahmedov 4th generation ceramist and his whole family with friendliness, hospitality and friendliness will do his utmost to make your stay unforgettable. Overnight and dinner in the house.

Day 14 Rishtan – Margilan – Tashkent (50km + excursion + 340 km)

Breakfast. Transfer to Marghilan. Visit: Yodgorlik – the Silk Factory (1972) to see the silk production process with traditional Ikat motifs. Today the factory staff has about 450 people, most of them are women. Every month the factory produces up to 6,000 m of fabric, including natural silk and half-silk fabric. If it’s Thursday or Sunday, visit Kumtepa Bazaar, the largest market in the Fergana Valley. Departure for Tashkent. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 Tashkent – Home

Breakfast. Transfer to Tashkent International Airport and departure by flight.
