  • 1st day: Arrival to Tashkent
  • 2nd day: Tashkent – Bukhara
  • 3rd day: Bukhara – Samarkand
  • 4th day: Samarkand – Tashkent
  • 5th day: Tashkent – Departure

Detailed program of tour to Uzbekistan

1st DAY:  HOME-TASHKENT (fligth+excursion)

Early morning arrival in Tashkent. Meet guide of your group, transfer to hotel (10 km) Breakfast. “Check in” hotel at 14:00.

Transfer to the north-east part of Tashkent, that’s ancient part called as old city’. Excursion in the city visiting: ‘Khasti-Imom’ complex: madrassa, mosque, mausoleum & museum of the Holy Koran. Museum of Moyi Mubarek is very interesting spiritual place. There is Holy Koran – Osman’s Koran (VII cen.) & ancient manuscripts (XIII-XX cen.) are kept. Then transfer to Bazar Chorsu, visit market of local people. It exists since ancient times and it is the most beautiful market in Tashkent and is full of people every day.

Madrassa Kukaldosh (XVI cen.) was built in 1561. It is operational Madrassa in Tashkent only for boys. Transfer to Museum of Applied Arts, which was built (the end of the XIX century) by Russian ambassador Plovsev, who used it as his residence. It exists as museum since 1937.

Dinner and overnight in the hotel.     

2nd DAY:TASHKENT – BUKHARA (TRAIN+excursion)

Breakfast. Transfer to Samarkand by high-speed train “Afrosiyob” 07:28 – 11:19. Check in at 14:00. Excursion in the historic center of Bukhara.

The mausoleum of Samanids, which is one of the most esteemed sights of Central Asian architecture, was built in the IX (X) century (between 892 and 943) as the resting-place of Ismail Samani – a powerful and influential amir of the Samanid dinasty. Mausoleum of Chashma-i Ayub is located near the Samani Mausoleum. Its name means Job’s well, due to the legend in which Job (Ayub) visited this place and made a well by striking the ground with his staff.

The Mosque of  Bolo Khauz was built in 1718 with a roof extension supported by karagachi (a rare sycamore-like wood) pillars in the XIX century. The Ark of Bukhara is a massive fortress located in the city of Bukhara, that was initially built and occupied around the V century AC.

The square of Poi Kalyan (means “The Foot of the Great”), is an Islamic religious complex located around the Grand Minaret – Minorai Kalon. The Grand Mosque – Masjid-i Kalon. The Madrassah of Mir-i-Arab is devoted to Sheikh Abdullah Yamani of Yemen. His second name was Mir-i-Arab, he was the spiritual mentor of Ubaidullah Khan and his son Abdulaziz Khan.

Bazars of Bukhara – Taqi Sarrafon, Taqi-Telpak Furushon, Taqi-Zaragon.

Ulugbek’s Madrassa is one of Central Asia’s architectural highlights of 1417. The Mosque of Magoki Attori was constructed on the remains of an older Zoroastrian temple. The Lab-i Hauz Ensemble (meaning by the pond 1568–1622) is the name of the area surrounding one of the few remaining hauz (ponds) in the city of Bukhara.

3rd DAY: BUKHARA  – SAMARKAND (260 km + excursion)

Breakfast, departure for Samarkand (260 km). On the way visit Rabat – I – Malik Caravan Serai. Upon arrival in Samarkand transfer and check-in at 13:00 to hotel. Lunch time.

The Mausoleum of Gur Amir is Persian for “Tomb of the King”. This architectural complex with its azure dome contains different tombs. Among which there are Tamerlane, his sons Shakhrukh, Miranshakh and grandsons Ulugbek, Sultan Muhammad. The Mosque Bibi Khanum is one of the most important monuments of Samarkand. In the XV century it was one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the Islamic world.

The Mausoleum of Shah-i-Zinda (‎‎means “The Living King”) is a necropolis in the north-eastern part of Samarkand. The Shah-i-Zinda Ensemble includes mausoleums and other ritual buildings of IX-XIV and XIX centuries. The Shah-i-Zinda was formed over nine (from XI till XIX) centuries and now includes more than twenty buildings.

4th DAY: SAMARKAND  – TASHKENT (excursion+280km)

Breakfast. Check out from hotel. In 2001, UNESCO added the city to its World Heritage List as Samarkand – Crossroads of Cultures. The Registan Square was the heart of the ancient city of Samarkand of the Timurid’s dinasty. It is framed by three madrassas of distinctive Islamic architecture: the three madrassas of the Registan are: The Ulugbek Madrassah (1417–1420), The Tilla-Kori Madrassah (1646–1660) and The Sher-Dor Madrassah (1619–1636).  The Ulugbek’s Observatory was built in the XV century by the Timurid astronomer Ulugbek, it is considered by scholars as one of the finest observatories in the Islamic world in that century. Some of the famous Islamic astronomers who worked at the observatory include Al-Kashi, Ali Qushchi and Ulugbek himself. The observatory was destroyed in 1449 and rediscovered in 1908.

Departure for Tashkent (280 km).

Dinner at local restaurant & overnight in the hotel.

5th DAY: TASHKENT – HOME (10 km + flight)

Early morning, transfer from hotel to airport & departure to home. End of 5 days tour to Uzbekistan!

    Departure from Tashkent: November 16 by night flight to Bangkok. Uzbek Airlines 23:15 at night

    Inquired tour duration in Uzbekistan: November 8-12, and 15 Nov. (need to back to Tashkent on the 12소 for my personal business)

    The city that I want to see Bukhara, Samarkand and Hieva
    But if you have any better suggestions, please advise.
